Vítor Diniz is a versatile flutist, who has won awards in a variety of competitions, ranging from classical to world music. He delights his audience with Brazilian lightness, technical precision and soulful interpretations.
From an early age, he gained international concert experience during orchestral and chamber music trips. His love for classical music and his admiration for Johann Sebastian Bach drew him to Germany at seventeen, where he took part in a Rotary student exchange program and went on to follow his passion and studied music with great success. Concerts took him to more than 15 countries in America and Europe.
Together with the guitarist Mateus Dela Fonte, he forms the duo Latinos Clássicos, who just recorded their first álbum BACH ∫ RIO.
Vítor Diniz teaches flute at the Stuttgart Music School and gives masterclasses every year at various universities in Brazil.
In addition to classical music, he dedicates himself to the Brazilian music and dance style Forró, which has its origins in his homeland, the northeast of the country. He is co-founder of the well-established band Forró de KA, which captivates its audiences at concerts and festivals all over Europe. When he is not on stage, you will most probably find him dancing forró.

Vítor Diniz was born in 1984 in João Pessoa, Brazil.

The flutist Vítor Diniz, born in Brazil in 1984, had his first flute lessons with Dr. Luceni Caetano and Gustavo Paco de Géa. As a teenager he gave concerts with several youth orchestras in Brazil, Argentina, Portugal and the USA. Besides that he founded with friends the chamber music group Quarta Dimensão, which played at the FIMU Festival in Belfort, as well as in other concerts in France. At the age of seventeen he came to Germany, firstly as a Rotary Club exchange student. In the end of that year, he applied for the music universities, studying later with the renowned professors Angela Firkins, Jean-Claude Gérard and Renate Greiss-Armin in Lübeck, Stuttgart and Karlsruhe respectively. He received his diploma and master's degree in music with great success.

Vítor Diniz has won prizes in various competitions, including the Nelson Freire OSB Competition 2010 in Rio de Janeiro, where he performed as soloist of the Brazilian Symphony Orchestra. In 2007 he won the second prize and the prize for the best interpretation of the commissioned piece at the Volos International Flute Meeting in Greece. In 2010 and 2011 he won the Azumi Competition together with his student Pauline Floreani. As a member of the Poetrio Brasilis he was awarded the 2nd prize (the 1st prize was not awarded) and the Audience Prize at the 2nd International Competition for Chamber Music with Guitar in Aschaffenburg in March 2012.

As a soloist he gave concerts under the direction of conductors such as Ligia Amadio, Roberto Minczuk, Laercio Sinhorelli, Alexander Beer, Klaus-Dieter Dassow, João Linhares, Luiz Carlos Durier, Kayami Satomi and Luanda Bem.

In Duo with the guitarist Mateus Dela Fonte, they build the Latinos Clássicos, who just recorded their first album BACH ∫ RIO, which a repertoire ranging from the music of Bach until Brazilian popular music. The Latinos Clássicos played in different festivals in Germany and also at the UNESCO ceremony, in which the 'Caves and Ice Age Art in the Swabian Jura‘, including the flute of Geisenklösterle, the oldest known musical instrument, were declared World Heritage.

As an orchestral musician he has performed with the Stuttgart Philharmonic, the Lüneburg Symphony, the Southwest German Chamber Orchestra Pforzheim, the Heilbronn Symphony Orchestra and the Gustav Mahler Orchestra Academy under the baton of Sir Roger Norrington, Zsolt Nagy, Gustav Kuhn and Radosław Szulc.

He has studied contemporary works with composers such as György Kurtág, Ernst Mahle, Daniel Schnyder, Salvador Brotons, Younghi Pagh-Paan and Viviane Waschbüsch and premiered works dedicated to him, which were composed by Horácio Lavandera, Wellington Gomes, José Peixoto, Nino Diaz, João Linhares, Wagner Ortiz, Marcelo Rauta and Leandro Cavalcanti. He appeared at various festivals, including the Klangspuren Festival in Schwaz (Austria), with a scholarship for the Ensemble Modern Academy and five editions of the Sommersprossen Festival in Rottweil (Germany), where he played chamber music with musicians such as Ingo Goritzki, Frank Lloyd, Gabor Meszaros, Marc Engelhardt and Daniel Schnyder.

Vítor Diniz was a scholarship holder of the Vitae Foundation, the Rotary Club and the Yehudi Menuhin LMN e.V. Courses specially with Davide Formisano, Barthold Kuijken and Sir James Galway complete his classical education.

In the field of popular music, he plays at forró festivals all over Europe and is co-founder of the band Forró de KA, which won a first prize in the category world music at the 'International Open Accordion Contest' 2018 in Trossingen. As special guest he performed with artists like Chico César, Oswaldinho do Acordeon and many others.

As a teacher, Vítor Diniz regularly conducts master classes at various universities in Brazil such as UFPB, UFRN, UNIRIO, UFBA, UEMG and UFU-MG. Since 2015 he teaches flute at the Stuttgart Music School. His students have won numerous prizes at competitions such as Jugend musiziert, WESPE, Karel Kunc, Azumi, Händel Jugendpreis Karlsruhe, Musiktalente Lahn, Tonkünstler Verband Baden Württemberg and the International Competition for Young Flutists in Wetzlar,'The Muse' in Greece and the International Karl-Adler-Jugend-Musikwettbewerb in Stuttgart. They play in the State and Federal Youth Orchestras and study music at the universities in Berlin, Stuttgart, Hannover, Würzburg and Munich.
